Digital Literacy Program serves New Brunswick adults 18 years old or older who are one of the following:
students, workers, under-employed workers, the unemployed and looking for work and/or adults who are new to Canada. Employment is key to the economic prosperity of most families, but many adults do not have the digital literacy skills required to gain employment and/or thrive in the workplace.
Class Description (classes run for 6 weeks)
Digital Basics (4hrs/week): Learn the lingo and remove the mystery. Hardware, software, operating systems, browsers, search engines, settings, keyboard, mouse, touch pad, files, folders emails, Internet and more!
Documents (2hrs/week): Learn the basics of working with documents. create, format, cut, copy, paste, use files and folders, use keyboard shortcuts, use spell check, the dictionary/thesaurus, add tables, graphics, links and more.
Spreadsheets (2hrs/week) Learn the basics of working with spreadsheets. Enter, edit, format, sort data, work with cells, columns & rows, manage multiple sheets. Include charts, tables, lists, equations and much more
Presentation Software (2hrs/week) Learn the basics or working with presentation software: slides, layout, themes, transitions, images, text, graphic elements, embedded objects, animations, publishing and more.
